How it works

One product surface.
Every layer stays connected.

01

Turn accounting text into useful categories

Accounting data arrives with descriptions, references, and counterparties that were written for bookkeeping—not analysis. Control uses that context to suggest consistent categories, then gives finance a clear review workflow before the data is used.

  • AI-suggested categories with human review
  • Split and classify individual transaction lines
  • Keep source descriptions and evidence attached
02

Create the dimensions your business actually needs

Go beyond the chart of accounts. Separate customers, SaaS vendors, revenue types, projects, locations, and other business-specific categories without rebuilding the source ledger.

  • Customer and revenue analysis
  • SaaS, cloud, and vendor cost breakdowns
  • Custom categories for your operating model
03

Use enriched data in the UI and over MCP

Reviewed categories become part of the same live financial dataset. Analyze them in Control’s interface or let MCP-connected AI tools group, compare, and drill into the enriched transactions.

  • Filter, group, and analyze in the Control UI
  • Query enriched transactions through Control MCP
  • Move from a category total back to source evidence
Example · AI spend

See what your company actually spends on AI.

AI purchases rarely sit in one clean ledger account. Control uses the context behind each transaction to identify AI-specific products and services, then turns the reviewed result into a monthly dashboard view.

  1. 01
    Classify each purchase

AI Transaction Review identifies eligible P&L transactions that represent AI-specific products or services.

  2. 02
    Make the amounts comparable

Refunds reduce spend, while entity-level amounts are converted into the group accounting currency.

  3. 03
    Track the monthly total

Reviewed purchases are grouped by accounting month, with unclassified transactions called out instead of hidden.

Questions

What finance teams usually ask.

Ask us about your setup
What does transaction enrichment add to accounting data?

It adds business meaning that is usually missing from the ledger. Descriptions, counterparties, and other source context can be classified into categories such as customer, SaaS cost, revenue type, project, or another dimension your company needs.

Can a transaction be split between categories?

Yes. A transaction line can be split when one booking belongs to multiple categories, giving analysis the right allocation without changing the source accounting entry.

Does AI make changes without review?

Finance remains in control. Control proposes categories and provides a review workflow where suggestions can be accepted, corrected, or split before they become part of the analysis.

Where can enriched data be used?

Enriched transactions are available in the Control UI for filtering and analytics, and through Control MCP for analysis in compatible AI tools.
