One group view. Every entity keeps its own ledger.

Report the whole group from the ledgers your entities already use. Control maps each entity to one group chart of accounts, translates every currency into the group currency, eliminates intragroup activity and keeps each consolidated figure open to the transactions behind it.

Singa kept the systems its three entities already run, including Procountor, Xero and Stripe. Its revenue data now arrives on day one instead of 5 to 7 days after month end, without an ERP project.

  • 01Different accounting systems, one group
  • 02Eliminations, currencies and CTA built in
  • 03Every group figure opens to its entries
How it works

One product surface.
Every layer stays connected.

01

Bring every entity into one group

Each entity keeps its own accounting system and its own chart of accounts. Map each local account to the group account with the same meaning, and the whole group reports on one structure, whichever ledgers sit underneath.

  • Entities on different accounting systems in one group
  • Local accounts mapped to the group chart of accounts
  • AI-assisted mapping that your team reviews
  • Source transactions stay as the ledger recorded them
02

Eliminate intragroup activity

Remove intragroup activity from the group view without touching the entity books. An automated rule eliminates the activity in a chosen entity account or group account from a start date. A manual entry handles a one-off elimination, reclassification or consolidation adjustment.

  • Rules by entity account or group account
  • Start date required, end date optional
  • Manual entries for one-off eliminations and reclassifications
  • Eliminations never post back to an entity’s accounting system
03

Translate every currency into the group currency

Pick the group currency and Control translates each entity from its functional currency. By default, assets and liabilities use the current rate and income statement and equity activity use the period rate. Change the default by account type, or add an exception for one account.

  • Current rate for balances, period rate for activity
  • Rate type by account type, with account-level exceptions
  • Monthly rate overrides for company-approved rates
04

Open any group figure to the transactions behind it

Drill into a consolidated value and see which entities and local accounts make it up, then the entries themselves. The period, entities and currency travel with you. Claude, ChatGPT and Codex can follow the same path over MCP.

  • Accounts view by entity, local account and group account
  • Transactions view with every entry behind the figure
  • Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other MCP clients on the same group data
Advanced

CTA, intercompany checks and group entries, in plain view.

The adjustments that usually live in a side spreadsheet stay in the group view, each on its own line and each open to its entries.

05

CTA that keeps the group balance sheet balanced

Balances and activity translate at different rates, so a translated balance sheet can stop balancing. Control calculates the cumulative translation adjustment for every month and posts it to equity, split into Currency CTA and Elimination CTA.

  • Currency CTA and Elimination CTA, each to the equity account you choose
  • Calculated for every month, stored as monthly movements
  • Recalculated when rates or rate settings change
06

Check intercompany before you trust the total

Show eliminations in their own column, between the entity values and the group total. Drill into an elimination line to see its entries apart from source and CTA rows. Elimination CTA stays separate, so a residual from a one-sided or mismatched elimination is easier to spot.

  • Entities, Eliminations and Group columns side by side
  • Elimination entries reviewed apart from source and CTA rows
  • Elimination CTA kept apart from currency effects
07

Group entries for what the ledgers do not hold

Post consolidation-only entries straight to the group chart of accounts, in the group currency, with an optional group dimension. Minority interest presentation uses the same group-level manual entries, not an automatic ownership-percentage calculation.

  • Entries on group accounts in the group currency
  • Optional group dimension and item on each entry
  • Minority interests as group-level manual entries
Workflow

From separate ledgers to one group result.

Build the group structure, then let each sync bring the entity books in. The group view follows the ledgers.

  1. 01Connect

    Connect each entity

Each entity connects its own accounting system. Its books stay the source of record.

  2. 02Map

    Map to the group

Point local accounts and dimension items to their group equivalents.

  3. 03Consolidate

    Translate and eliminate

Set the group currency, the rate treatment and the elimination rules.

  4. 04Review

    Open the group result

Check entities, eliminations and the group total side by side, then drill to the entries.

Questions

What finance teams usually ask.

Ask us about your setup
Do our entities need to use the same accounting system?

No. Each entity connects its own system, such as Netvisor, Fortnox, Xero or NetSuite. Control maps each local chart of accounts to one group chart of accounts, so the group reports on one structure.

Do eliminations change the entity books?

No. Elimination rules and manual entries change the consolidated view only. They do not edit or delete source transactions, and they never post back to an entity’s accounting system.

How are partially owned subsidiaries handled?

Control consolidates the connected entities in full. Minority interest presentation is handled with group-level manual entries, not automated ownership-percentage calculations.

Can an AI client work with the consolidated numbers?

Yes. Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other MCP clients can read group and entity financial statements over MCP, down to the transactions behind a figure. Each user’s Control permissions still apply.
